It will take several months before the implants fuse securely with the jawbone. In the meantime, you will be given temporary dentures to wear as your permanent dentures are customized and your implants integrate into the bone. Once the implants are securely fused with the jawbone, the dentist will attach the permanent dentures to the implants and adjust for a comfortable and natural-looking fit.

Once the permanent dentures are in place, the patient will have several check-ups over the following few weeks and months to perfect the fit of the dentures. All-On-4 implant dentures should be cared for just like natural teeth with daily brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash. The patient should continue to visit the dentist for professional cleanings and dental exams to monitor and prolong the life of the dentures.
